| Description/Duties:

This position oversees and maintains the daily performance of the computer infrastructure and provides desktop support to a variety of users. The specialist assists with the daily maintenance of network user access and in managing network traffic, performance and operating issues. The specialist advises the department manager on computer and peripheral device purchases and assists the department with the management of communication devices, including email, fax servers, and voice servers. Specific position duties include: installing, testing and troubleshooting computers; assisting users with network or desktop questions and solving hardware and software problems; working with vendors to find the most cost effective means to purchase equipment and services; and keeping license and equipment information up-to-date in a database.

| Qualifications: |
The successful candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent and 3-4 years experience providing end user computer support in a corporate business environment. A+ certification, Microsoft certifications, or equivalent experience is required. Experience with Windows 98 through Windows 7 operating systems, Exchange, and Microsoft Office Suite is preferred. Good analytical and organizational skills are necessary. A patient, service-oriented outlook and good communication skills are required.<
